Great for brainstorming
–
You can use a webcast environment to brainstorm on keynote topics.
Rather than asking everyone on the line to keep a list or the
presenter to verbally summarize, everyone can see what the presenter
has put on the list and can make decisions more effectively because
the notes are all on the screen
Easy to switch between presenters –
If you have an agenda where there are multiple agenda item owners
you can easily make another person a presenter. You just left-click
on their name and click “Make a presenter”. The presenter’s desktop
is now showing on the screen for all to see. There is no need to
send all documents to one person for that person to be the
“driver”. Just keep giving presenter control to agenda owners and
they can now drive the webcast.
Effective for client follow up meetings –
Let’s say you needed to schedule a
follow-up meeting with a client and weren’t able to do the meeting
face-to-face. It is super easy to do a webcast and let the client
not only hear what you’re saying but see your presentation. You
also get to control the pace and don’t have to worry about a client
“reading ahead” if you send him or her a presentation beforehand.
Integrated conference bridge numbers
– Conference call numbers and access codes are
integrated into the meeting and are contained in the outlook meeting
invite. All of the information is contained in the outlook calendar
message.
Meeting recording
–
Any webcast can be recorded to a .wmv file for
later playback. You can either do this via mic into your PC or buy
a telephone logger patch from Dynametric (www.dynametric.com)
that sits between your phone receiver and “mic in” jack on your
PC. Best results are to use the telephone logger patch.
