Get a small business web hosting account
A hosting account is simply the place on the internet where your web pages reside. The prices of hosting accounts have really gone down in the past couple of years. I currently have six hosting accounts for my web sites and pay about $4.00 a month for each hosting account. You can have one or more domain names associated with a hosting account. For example, www.project-management-skills.info  and www.projectmanagementadvisor.com  both reside in the same hosting account. The way this works is one domain name (www.project-management-skills.info)  is associated with the hosting account and the other (www.projectmanagementadvisor.com)  is forwarded to www.project-management-skills.info . All this means is if someone types in www.projectmanagementadvisor.com  the internet is smart enough to show the hosting account for www.project-management-skills.info .
You may be asking, Why would I need more than one hosting account? Simply put, it's about putting more needles in the haystack. Doing business on the internet starts with being found. You can have the best website on earth but if no one can find you then all your work is for naught. Getting found means you increase the likelihood of your website being found. But, you can also increase the number of websites you have out there. My six hosting accounts are virtually identical except for the home page (the first page you see when you go into the website). Go back up to the first paragraph and click on all of my websites, and see for yourself. Each of my website home pages is also optimized for a different keyword, or term that someone types into a search engine. As example, www.leadership-skills.info  is optimized for the keyword leadership skills.
With your small business web hosting account you will also get email addresses associated with each hosted domain name. As example, my email address is lonnie@leadingonedge.com  which corresponds to www.leadingonedge.com . With each hosting account I ordered I got 500 email addresses for free.

You guessed it! You'll need to get a hosting account.If you already have a domain name you don't have to buy another; you'll just need to have it transferred over. If you don't have a domain name, you'll need to buy one while you're buying your hosting account.
